International Triathlon Coaching Association Trains, Educates Triathlon Coaches Online

Swimming, cycling and running just got more high tech when it comes to training, nutrition and psychology. Tomorrow’s triathlon coaches will be armed with cutting-edge knowledge to hone the skills of the next generation of champions.

With triathlon participation in the United States at an all-time high, the International Triathlon Coaching Association developed a unique triathlon coaching certification program to meet the growing demand for trained triathlon coaches.

Offering a self-paced interactive distance learning format, the Certified Triathlon Coach training is delivered over 32 days, including training materials, exam, certification and business advice designed to help new triathlon coaches succeed professionally and personally.

“Just as training for triathlons involves a lot of time, we understand that coaches have busy family and personal lives, which is why our training is online, flexible and delivered over a one-month period,” said John Spencer Ellis, founder of the International Triathlon Coaching Association and its multi-sport certification. “Covering everything from safety to training zones and from nutrition to biomechanics, this unique triathlon coaching program helps people succeed in a truly rewarding career.”

The International Triathlon Coaching Association training covers:
Establishing milestones and personal goals for coaches and clients
Constructing balanced programs for training and racing
Identifying effective heart-rate training zones
Exercise and sports psychology
Biomechanics and aerodynamics
Training for special populations
Injury prevention
Triathlon rules and regulations

In addition, those interested in becoming a triathlon coach have access to online lectures, discussions boards, exam prep, and triathlon coaches and experts.
