Streamworks and Jesta Digital announced an agreement for the mobile distribution of the Royal Wedding to mobile users across 21 countries. On 29 April 2011, millions of viewers are expected to turn to their mobile phones to watch the historic event. Streamworks will be providing 50+ On Demand video clips from the official cameras along the Wedding Route between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace and offering it across 135 mobile networks.

Streamworks has rights from the Associated Press to live stream the Royal Wedding globally and is offering international channels exclusive deals for Live and On Demand coverage of the day, pre-recorded vignettes and On Demand content after the event. Despite the huge distances and viewing numbers involved, Streamworks’ international internet and mobile viewers will be able to experience uninterrupted coverage of the Royal Wedding in the highest quality. Streamworks patented technology delivers on average a 30% file size saving, dramatically enhancing picture and audio quality.

Ray Mia, Streamworks CEO, said “This is a once in a generation event and Royal Fever has gone global – the Wedding is expected to draw the highest viewing figures in history. Streamworks is offering premium access to the very best live and On Demand video content of the wedding, from start to finish – and more.
