Kaenon Polarized and Canines Unite for 3rd Annual “SUP for a Pup” Event

Newport Beach, CA — March 22, 2011 — Kaenon Polarized, the Southern California-based Lifestyle and Luxury Performance sunglass brand, will host the third annual “SUP for a Pup” event to benefit A Wish For Animals (AWFA) on Saturday, April 9, 2011. Approximately 25 dogs will be available for adoption on site through AWFA, a local non-profit rescue.

For the third year, the event will unite the paddle and dog-loving communities in an effort to raise money to save dogs without homes. In addition to adoption opportunities, sample sales, raffles and giveaways will be held by top lifestyle brands and standup paddle companies Quickblade, Naish, OluKai Premium Footwear, Hinano Tahiti, as well as host company Kaenon Polarized. Previous years have been incredibly successful, with the 2010 event bringing in more than 500 supportive members of the local and surrounding communities to enjoy music, entertainment, good food and great deals.

“Over the past two years we’ve raised thousands of dollars and found homes for many dogs that were on the brink of being put down,” said Chris Wyman, Sports Marketing Director at Kaenon Polarized and founder of the event. “All of this has been possible through the hard work of the crew here at Kaenon, all of the companies that come each year and of course AWFA. We’re hoping this year we will be able to do even more than has been done in past years.”

The family friendly event will also feature food available from Wahoo’s Fish Taco as well as face and body painting for children, making for a perfect weekend outing with the opportunity to make a difference. A portion of all sales and food purchases will be donated to AWFA to support their animal-saving mission.
