New Book Details How To Stop Skin From Breaking Down With Age
American Baby Boomers spend over $1.5 billion per year on cosmetics, supplements and topical drugs to slow down the aging process in skin. They are determined to maintain a youthful appearance. A new publication, called ’Shrink Your Wrinkles,’ is the first book to reveal a novel method whereby one can block skin breakdown while at the same time restoring it to a more youthful look.
“’Shrink Your Wrinkles’ is the first book that explains a new way to block enzymes that break down collagen and elastin in the skin,” says Dr. Alex Sheehan, principle author and anti-aging expert. “We detail not only how to stop these destructive enzymes, but also how to restore a more youthful look to the face by increasing collagen production from within using supplements and other methods,” Sheehan says. He also notes that the treatments in the book are aimed at stopping the aging process and improving the appearance of the skin so that a youthful look can be maintained as one ages.
“The problem in the past has been that people depend too much on topical treatments, like Botox, to help them look younger,” Sheehan says. “While there’s nothing wrong with using these, one has to take the proper steps to slow or even stop the aging process from within if maintaining a youthful appearance is the long-term goal,” he added. According to the authors, topical creams and treatments are only part of the solution, and various internal methods must be used so that skin can be made to age at a slower rate.
The authors say they use a comprehensive approach that addresses all of the major theories of aging. In addition to using a novel way to block collagen breakdown, the methods they recommend will also replace lost internal moisturizers like hyaluronic acid, increase the activity of longevity genes, and boost collagen and elastin production within the skin cells.
They believe this book will change the public’s perception of skin aging, and that there are many internal ways to help maintain a youthful appearance that the general public is unaware of.
