JVC Mobile Expands Its HD Radio Line-Up With Six New Models

LAS VEGAS - JVC Mobile Entertainment, a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated mobile, audio, and video products, continues to respond to the demand for built-in HD Radio with four new in-dash CD receiver models: KD-HDR44, KD-HDR70, Arsenal KD-AHD79, and the Double-DIN KW-HDR720. Two in-dash receivers with built-in Navigation will also be equipped with HD radio tuners, as well as a secondary HD tuner for Clear Channel’s Total Traffic HD+ Network. Both new navigation receivers include a free lifetime subscription to this service, which offers on-screen News, Sports, Weather, and Real-Time traffic information broadcasted over the HD Radio network.

Also introduced for the first time in 2011 will be “Artist Experience” through HD Radio, which shows on-screen album jacket artwork or station information graphics while listening to HD programming. Artist Experience will be standard in both new Navigation models KW-NT30HD and KW-NT50HDT, as well as a later update, which will be made available for the 2010 KW-NT3HDT model.

While both new 2011 Navigation models feature built-in HD Radio tuners, the flagship KW-NT50HDT adds capability of receiving News, Sports, Weather, and Real-Time Traffic data from Clear Channel’s Total Traffic+ HD Network through its HD radio tuner, or via cellular connection with using the iheartradio® Application on connected iPhone devices.

Both JVC’s KW-NT30HD and KW-NT50HDT Navigation Receivers include a built-in HD Radio tuner with iTunes tagging. iTunes Tagging® allows you to “Tag” any song in the car which transfers the radio information to your iPod/iPhone, then makes it available to purchase the next time you connect your iPod/iPhone to your PC. Both Navigation receivers are Satellite Ready, iPod ready, with front USB for 2-way iPod/iPhone control, MP3/WMA compatible, have Built-in Bluetooth® Wireless technology, front auxiliary input, 7-band iEQ, and feature the separated variable-color illumination display. The KW-NT50HDT and KW-NT30HD receivers will be available in March with an MSRP of $1199.95 and $999.95, respectively.

The Arsenal KD-AHD79 in-dash CD Receiver includes a built-in HD Radio tuner and iTunes tagging. This CD receiver is also Satellite ready, iPod ready, with front USB port for 2-way iPod/iPhone control, External mode for iPhone®/iPod Touch, MP3/WMA compatible, Bluetooth ready, and features the separated variable-color illumination display. The KD-AHD79 features dual AUX inputs, 7-band iEQ, MOS-FET 50W x 4, and includes wireless remote. The receiver carries a standard two-year warranty and is available in January with an MSRP of $199.95.

The KD-HDR70 CD Receiver features a built-in HD Radio tuner, dual AUX Inputs, USB 2.0 connection for 2-way iPod/iPhone control, External mode for iPhone®/iPod Touch, and iTunes Tagging capabilities. The unit is Bluetooth ready and has MP3/WMA playback capability. The KD-HDR70 also features MOS-FET 50 watts x 4, 7-band iEQ, and a separated variable-color illumination display. The receiver is available for shipping in January and has a MSRP of $179.95.

A first for its HD Radio CD Receiver lineup, the Double-DIN KW-HDR720 features a built-in HD Radio tuner, dual AUX inputs, USB 2.0 connection for 2-way iPod/iPhone control, External mode for iPhone®/iPod Touch, and iTunes Tagging capabilities. The unit is Bluetooth ready and has MP3/WMA playback capability. The KW-HDR720 also features MOS-FET 50 watts x 4, 7-band iEQ, and a separated variable-color illumination display. The receiver is available for shipping in March and has a MSRP of $219.95.

The KD-HDR44 CD Receiver features a built-in HD Radio tuner, dual AUX inputs, and MP3/WMA playback. Also added for 2011 are 6-key preset buttons on the front of the stereo. This receiver is ready Bluetooth® technology, via the KS-BTA100 Bluetooth adapter, has Dual AUX inputs, a DiAS digital tuner, and Front plus Rear/Selectable subwoofer preoutput terminals. . The KD-HDR44 also features MOS-FET 50 watts x 4, 7-band iEQ, and wireless remote. The receiver has an MSRP of $139.95 and is shipping in January.

Also continuing in 2011 the KT-HD300 adapter, which connects through JVC’s own J-BUS expansion port. The KT-HD300 is compatible within the new lineup of in-dash units and adds HD radio tuning to all JVC HD radio ready receivers. MSRP for the KT-HD300 is $119.95 and is currently shipping.
