XM Also Receives Accolades from Circuit City for Consumer Product Excellence

Washington D.C., April 17, 2006 -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), the nation’s leading satellite radio company with more than 6.5 million subscribers, announced that it received a Digital Service Vendor of The Year 2005 award from CompUSA, Inc., one of the nation’s leading retailers and resellers of technology products and services.

The award was presented at an April 10 awards ceremony in recognition of XM Satellite Radio’s commitment to CompUSA for merchandising, training and marketing of XM products.

Also this spring, XM received the 2005 Merchandising Vendor Excellence Award from Circuit City Stores, Inc. in recognition of exceptional performance as one of the retail chain’s top vendors. In its announcement of the award, Circuit City stated that XM had demonstrated a “commitment to growing the business relationship” with Circuit City, “supply chain performance, product profitability, and year-over-year impact on Circuit City’s revenue growth.” The retail chain credited XM with delivering “products that today’s consumers want”.

Circuit City previously awarded XM Satellite Radio the award in May 2003.
