BT Onevoice now features a committed savings offer

BT today launched a committed savings offer, which will deliver average savings of up to 25 per cent to new and existing virtual private network (VPN) customers who switch their voice communications to its converged communications platform BT Onevoice. The offer, available to multi-national organisations worldwide, means that customers who spend more than GBP700k per annum on voice communications will gain these savings by combining voice traffic and their global VPN traffic with BT Onevoice.1 The offer is aimed at multinational customers looking to consolidate, integrate and optimise their voice infrastructure.

“BT Onevoice is a truly compelling proposition, tailored to the global communications needs of multi-national organisations and we can clearly demonstrate the benefits of converged communications through the committed savings offer. This offer complements a series of recent innovative feature launches, such as the integration of Ribbit’s advanced voice services, SIP trunking and a Microsoft certification for integration with MS Office Communications Server. This allows us to deliver new capability into the fixed line voice market, leveraging existing customer telephony infrastructure and making the journey to unified communications and collaboration more attractive,” says Neil Sutton, Vice President, Global Portfolio, BT Global Services.

This savings offer is announced on the same day BT announced the launch of its Microsoft accredited SIP trunking service and follows the announcement of the Onevoice Ribbit v1.0 trial which embeds Ribbit’s innovative voice features into the BT Onevoice solution. These innovations confirm BT’s goal to reposition telephony services as true applications and deliver high quality global solutions with predictable and flexible commercial packages.

Notes to Editors
1 Based on cost analysis modelling already done on 11 multi-national customers including detailed before and after costs. The offer is applicable to all BT MPLS and traditional voice customers – if a customer has an MPLS-based VPN it is a natural step to layer Onevoice over this.

BT’s Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) solutions include a combination of traditional voice services, next generation voice services including VoIP and IPT, BT professional services and support of key vendor platforms such as Cisco Systems, Avaya and Microsoft managed services.
