Saab opts for Tieto’s PPS project management model

The defence and security company Saab has selected PPS, Praktisk ProjektStyrning (Practical Project Management), from Tieto as its project management model for the entire group. This means that Saab gains access to a standardised work method for planning, implementing and following up projects. The agreement runs for three years, with the option of a two-year extension, and includes a group licence giving entitlement to use PPS in business operations, implementation services, and PPS training for various target groups at Saab.

“We’ve compared PPS with other project models and found that Tieto’s model meets all the requirements we make of a project model. It provides us with a common project model for the whole group. This is a natural step in our strategy to harmonise and standardise our work methods,” says Sunil Joshi, Quality Manager at Saab.

With PPS, customers gain access to a tried-and-tested project management model bundled in the PPS OnLine web application. The offer also includes support services for managing projects, and training for various target groups. The project management model is completely sector-independent and can cope with everything from small projects to multi-project management.

PPS is currently used in a large number of companies, public administrations and organisations in both Sweden and abroad. Over 3,000 people elect to receive training in the model each year. PPS also provides a strong basis for certifying project managers through IPMA (International Project Management Association) and PMI (Project Management Institute).
