Alpha Course Success At Salisbury City Church
Salisbury City Church, the Newfrontiers church planted in Salisbury seven years ago, are about to launch their 17th Alpha course.
The church was established when six families moved to the city in 2003. What was once a small group of 20 has now risen to a regular congregation of about 120, with new visitors every week. A particular emphasis of the church is serving our community, in particular through the message of Jesus Christ who brings hope and meaning to many lives.
Kevin comments “We’re excited to have seen well over 100 people come through our Alpha courses over the past few years. It’s great to see friendships develop over the Alpha meals and people find answers to their burning questions.”
Simon says: “The Alpha course is a great opportunity to find out more about what Christians believe. It offers an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, non-threatening and enjoyable environment. The course is run at no cost, and includes a meal, followed by a short talk and a small group discussion. It’s a great opportunity to ask any question, no question is too simple or too hostile.”
Salisbury City Church meets each Sunday at 10.30 at South Wilts Grammar School, Stratford Road. All are welcome. The next Alpha course starts on Thursday 23rd September 2010. No charge is made for the course but booking is essential, details can be found on the website: www.salisburycitychurch.org.
