UltraViolet Devices Promotes Veteran Molecular Filtration Engineer to Director of Technology

Dr. Ashish Mathur’s responsibilities at the nation’s leading provider of ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) and molecular filtration products expanded to support continued growth.

Less than a year ago, Dr. Ashish Mathur joined the team at UltraViolet Devices, Inc. (UVDI) as Senior Molecular Filtration Engineer. In recognition of his expertise and immediate contributions, Dr. Mathur was quickly promoted to UVDI’s Director of Filtration Technology. Today UVDI is pleased to announce that Dr. Mathur is promoted to the newly created position of Director of Technology for the company.

In his new position, Dr. Mathur will be responsible for overseeing the effective management of UVDI’s technical and engineering staff, as well as all research, development and test laboratory operations. Dr. Mathur will be advancing UltraViolet Devices germicidal technology and products marketed under the UVDI and ALTRU-V brands as well as the company’s Sparks Technology brand of activated carbon filters.

Dr. Mathur brings over 23 years of industry experience to UVDI. He received his doctorate and master’s degrees in fiber and polymer sciences from Cornell University. His knowledge of activated carbon molecular filtration, particulate filtration and more recently UVGI, is instrumental to UltraViolet Devices continued growth.
