I-COM MD Tim Roberts on How to Make the Most of Social Media

The managing director of one of Manchester’s foremost online marketing firms, I-COM, is scheduled to give a talk at this Wednesday’s Business Skills Forum entitled ’Social Media and Business’.

According to Tim Roberts, during the talk he hopes to debunk some of the myths about Social Media, whilst at the same time demonstrating to businesses the potential of the medium as a marketing tool.

“Because using social media in this way is a relatively new form of marketing, very few businesses are currently making the most of their social media profiles, and some are getting it disastrously wrong.”

“I want to use the Business Skills Forum to demonstrate to Manchester businesses social media best practice, and how these techniques can generate real results for their company.”

Tim Roberts will also be using the opportunity to slam the so-called ’Social Media Gurus’ which have sprung up in recent months.

“On the whole they’re just a bunch of chancers - my talk this Wednesday will deal in fact, not fiction. I intend to demonstrate the power of social media using real results.”
