Certifited Fitness Specialist and Nutrition Counselor Joel Hargett Talks About the Significance of Nutrition While Promoting His Newsletter called ’The Skinny on Nutrition’
The fitness industry will be taken aback on Wednesday June 9, 2010, when Certified Fitness Specialist and Nutrition Counselor, Joel Hargett launches a semi-monthly newsletter called ‘The Skinny on Nutrition’. This powerful newsletter offers everyday application on nutrition for your lifestyle that can easily be integrated into any routine. Author and creator of two nutrition programs, ‘Nutrition at a Glance’ and ‘Meal Planner 1.0’, Joel Hargett has decided to share his nutrition and wellness knowledge to anyone who has an interest in improving their overall health and well being. The significance of nutrition in our lives is clearly laid out through the quality content offered by ‘The Skinny on Nutrition’.
When asked why he would offer such a valuable service for free, Hargett responded by stating, “I felt it was necessary for people to change the way they think about food. There’s nothing more important than what we put in our bodies, and because we only get one body, it just makes sense for us to be fueling it properly. Of course everybody would agree with what I just said; however, diseases caused by our sloppy lifestyles are running rampant, and I believe it all starts with what we put in our mouths. We must gain a better understanding of source and quality of food and how we can use it to improve our health.”
Hargett was then asked why is it that he thinks diseases related to lifestyle, such as eating the wrong foods, are so rampant. He responded by saying, “People are lacking a general knowledge of food and how it affects our bodies. Furthermore, I believe that there is a lot of misinformation out there in regards to health and wellness, nutrition included. People are always looking for the next best thing that will help them lose that extra 10 pounds. The truth is, we need to get back to the basics of food and steer clear from any “new” methods of diet or miracle supplements and begin understanding what foods fuels our body properly. I think we’d all be surprised when we find out how simple it actually is. Proper nutrition can, and will, be achieved through the knowledge and application that I provide in ‘The Skinny on Nutrition’.”
Hargett concluded by affirming, “The significance of nutrition has a clear impact on our lives whether good or bad. It’s up to the individual to take action and make a positive change in their life.”
