Custom Bottled Water Using Biodegradable Plastic Now Available from Austin Creative Water

Austin, TX -- Austin Creative Water (http://www.austincreativewater.com) recently announced that their custom bottled water now comes in oxo-biodegradable plastic bottles that will decompose in less than 10 years. This new earth-friendly packaging has a two year shelf life and won’t pollute landfills, rivers and lakes. Now businesses, organizations and other groups that use personalized bottled water can help keep the planet clean.

According to Planet Green Bottle Corporation (PGBC), which promotes the Reverte™ PET bottles that are distributed by Austin Creative Water, the oxo-biodegradable plastic is more eco-friendly than cornstarch based plastic (PLA) in several ways. Reverte™ is made by combining an additive to the PET plastic bottles that allows their molecules to degrade in a matter of just a few years rather than remain intact in landfills for thousands of years like non-treated plastic bottles. The degradation process occurs only after the bottles are exposed to UV light, heat and moisture over an extended period of time, yet retain their strength and clarity during their use.
