User Renamer for Google Apps - Now Available Through the Google Apps Marketplace

[March 9, 2010] -- SADA Systems, a Google Enterprise Partner™, today announced it has added User Renamer for Google Apps to the Google Apps Marketplace™, Google’s recently launched online storefront for Google Apps™ products and services. User Renamer for Google Apps, built utilizing JAVA and Google App Engine™, enables Google Apps administrators to easily rename usernames using the web interface. With this cloud-based application, users now have the enhanced flexibility to keep pace with the changes that life and business bring their way. User Renamer for Google Apps is available to Google Apps Premier Edition and Google Apps Education Edition customers.

“SADA Systems is committed to helping leverage the full potential of cloud computing for end users, so as a Google Enterprise Partner we have developed this app to enhance the end user administration experience and add to our Cloud ToolKit offerings,” says Tony Safoian, company CEO. “Every one of our large clients has asked for this functionality - now by adding User Renamer for Google Apps to the Google Apps Marketplace, we’ve made it easy for Google Apps Education and Premier Edition customers to enhance the current functionality without any code or API work.”

User Renamer for Google Apps is easy to install, comes with built in scalability, performance, and the reliability and security of Google’s infrastructure. The app is fully functional with single sign-on (SSO) and is centrally administered from the Google Apps control panel. During the renaming process, the old username is retained as a nickname, allowing all correspondences sent to the old name to be received by the new username. Furthermore username, login and email addresses are automatically synced with the changes made through User Renamer for Google Apps. The seamless integration of this app into Google’s universal navigation links further enhances the ability of users and admins to better handle the unpredictable situations that require a username switch including accidental typos in email setup, marriage and changes in company policy regarding uniformity of email addresses.

“We are very excited to have User Renamer in the Google Apps Marketplace,” says Scott McMullan, Google Apps Partner Lead for Google Enterprise. “Through the Google Apps Marketplace, ISVs like SADA Systems are helping us build a rich ecosystem of integrated apps that work seamlessly with Google Apps, allowing IT administrators to leverage the benefits of cloud computing and extend Google Apps to meet more of their business needs. We are happy to offer User Renamer to the millions of Google Apps users who have embraced the cloud.”

The Google Apps Marketplace makes it easy for more than 2 million Google Apps customers to discover, purchase and deploy integrated business Apps and related professional services.
