The figures show the average tax return is around $2,500 which could easily be put towards making their home look and feel more valuable.  

Here are some creative ideas that could improve your home:

1 .  Colours & Textures:  If your home is a neutral palette use lot of vibrant colours with pillows and throws.  This is an inexpensive way of making your home feel more cosy and uplifting.  Adding your favourite colours also can make your feel bight and happy.  Textures can give the room another dimension and add contrast to the space.  You can change your style with the season.

2.  Quality over Quantity:  It comes down to one basic principle - less is more.  Don’t fill the room with stuff because you need to fill the space.  Sometimes only one or two quality items is all it takes to make the room come to life.
