Here’s the process:

A registered professional nurse will listen to the client’s story and ask appropriate questions to fill out a workable picture of the situation. Notes will be taken. The confidential interview is done via phone.

The client will also fill out a detailed questionnaire related to the particular type of potential case involved – information such as:
• demographics of the claimant and deceased/injured person
• marital status
• children of the deceased/injured person
• employment
• health insurance
• medical expenses
• confinement
• education
• pharmacies and so on.

The nurse consultant will summarize the situation and provide the attorney with an oral or written report, or both. The attorney can then decide whether or not to reject the case or to obtain records for the Atlanta legal nurse to perform a screening review and move forward if warranted.
