MERA Systems announces the End of Life for its legendary MVTS I
Toronto, ON – MERA Systems today announces the End of Life for MERA VoIP Transit Softswitch I, that has been the company’s flagman VoIP softswitch for over 6 years, and offers special terms for transition to MVTS Pro, the product that replaces MVTS I in the product line.
The last date to order the product will be December 31, 2009. As of this date MVTS I will no longer be for sale. As of July 1, 2010 existing customers won’t be able to order, extend or renew a service contract for MVTS I. April 1, 2011 is the last date that MERA Systems may announce any software releases or bug fixes. After this date MERA Support Team will no longer develop or test MVTS I. Existing customers will continue to receive MVTS I support until July 1, 2011.
MERA Systems recommends its customers that are still operating MVTS I to migrate to MVTS Pro, the newest softswitch developed to become a replacement of MVTS I and meet the up-to-date requirements of VoIP carriers. In order to ensure an easy and straight-forward transition from MVTS I, at the beginning of June MERA Systems launched MVTS I to MVTS Pro Transition Program and it is picking up the stream now.
To make the transition more attractive, MERA Systems offers special prices for those customers who join the program before August 1, 2009. Several companies have already showed willingness to migrate to MVTS Pro in the nearest future.
“VoIp market demands have significantly changed over the past several years requiring to enhance softswitches with more complicated technological features,” says Konstantin Nikashov, CEO of MERA Systems, “It was an impetus for MERA Systems to announce the End of Life for MVTS I and design a program to help MVTS I customers to easily migrate to MVTS Pro, the next-generation VoIP softswitch.”
Being a more functional product, that inherited the best features of a well-known MVTS I, such as business-critical reliability and easy system management as well as an ability to provide smooth equipment and networks interconnection, MVTS Pro represents a unique combination of scalability and ultra-high capacity with CPS up to 1000 per traffic entry point. These features combined with distributed architecture, geographic redundancy and dynamic distribution of traffic load add to the system’s efficiency and ensure top-level fault-tolerance enabling transit carriers operate to the utmost of their capabilities. The similar routing concepts of MVTS I and MVTS Pro ease the process of transition since MVTS I customers will be able to keep the significant part of MVTS I configuration, especially in respect of routing schemes.
