Delta Hubs Salt Lake City and Cincinnati Named Best Airports for On-Time Arrivals

Delta Air Lines’ Operational Performance a Major Factor

ATLANTA, Feb. 17, 2005 – Delta Air Lines’ focus on improving its operational performance for its customers has already begun to make a noticeable impact. According to the Department of Transportation, Salt Lake City International Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport ranked first and second, respectively, in on-time arrivals among the largest 33 airports in 2005.

"Flying our customers to their destinations safely and on time is what Delta people work hard to achieve every day,” said Joe Kolshak, executive vice president and chief of operations. “Delta’s performance is a major reason Salt Lake City and Cincinnati have achieved industry-leading operations. As a hub operation, both Salt Lake City and Cincinnati have scores of connecting flights every day and the numbers show that Delta is committed to - and successful at - getting our customers to their final destinations safely and on time.”

Delta also was the most on-time carrier in 2005 at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Delta’s largest hub and the world’s largest airport. The company continues to make significant strides in all areas of its operation, as evidenced by operating all of its scheduled domestic flights on Wednesday, February 15 for a 100 percent completion factor, according to the DOT.

Our goal is to achieve top-tier industry performance in 2006, and we will succeed by building on the momentum we have created in providing customers with a predictable, on time and safe flying experience.”
