James Redmond joins Chris Parker on Gala TV’s ‘Soap Star Bingo’ this Friday
Actor James Redmond will be making a special guest appearance on popular live bingo channel Gala TV on Friday (12 June) evening.
The former Hollyoaks and Casualty star will be joining Gala TV presenter Chris Parker on his exclusive ‘Soap Star Bingo’ show which is broadcast between 8-9pm throughout June on the Sky and Freesat channel 861 as well as webstreamed on Gala Bingo (http://www.galabingo.co.uk).
Launched last week by Chris, who is best known for his role alongside Shane Richie as Spencer Moon in EastEnders, ‘Soap Star Bingo’ (http://www.galabingo.co.uk/galatv_web.go?page=index&tab=tv&lang=20&sid=20&ms=MS) is already proving extremely popular with viewers and attracting guest appearances from a number of high calibre actors.
During last week’s show (5 June), Joe Swash who is known for his role as Mickey Miller in EastEnders and winner of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’, made a guest appearance calling the numbers and answering emails and texts sent in by the playing community.
Even though James has experience of presenting on ITV shows such as SM:TV and CD:UK, he’s expecting Gala TV to be completely different.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Chris as a guest on Friday’s show as I’m a great fan of bingo. Gala TV uses some really cool graphics, making the show really modern and fun with the players involved all the time. I’ve had experience of live TV before but this is totally different and I’m sure the show will be great, with Chris there to help me out.”
Paul Tremain, director of programmes for Gala TV, said: “We’re delighted to have a different celebrity guest every week. It keeps ‘Soap Star Bingo’, which is an interactive show, fresh and interesting. We had a really good response from the first show Chris and Joe presented last Friday so we’re expecting the partnership with James to be equally popular.”
Gala TV viewers can play a variety of bingo and side games by simply using their Sky remote control red button or through the webstream on www.galabingo.com.
