Dangaard Telecom to distribute the Fujitsu Siemens Computers Pocket LOOX T Series
Two European leaders joining forces in the EMEA handheld market
Barcelona / Spain, February 15, 2006 – Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT provider, signed a cooperation agreement today with Dangaard Telecom at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona. Starting immediately, the top telecommunications sector distributor will market Fujitsu Siemens Computers handhelds throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Pocket LOOX T Series, also being introduced at 3GSM, will be the first of these products.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers will benefit from Dangaard Telecom’s experience with mobile telecommunications technology, such as customization capabilities and network operator relationships, as well as its established sales channels.
“This is a great step forward for our company,” says Peter Esser, Executive Vice President Volume Products & Supply Operations. “With the Pocket LOOX T Series we have combined the strengths of the IT and telecom sectors into the first truly convincing convergence product. Dangaard Telecom is the ideal distribution partner for these devices, bringing its expertise with the network operator channel. Featuring Windows Mobile ® Direct Push e-mail and UMTS mobile phone, it’s user-friendly, too, with a standard QWERTY keyboard and brilliant TFT display. Incorporating these devices into the corporate network is straightforward, ensuring secure and reliable data transfer, while the integrated GPS makes sure you never get lost.
