Dizzying Array of Web Sites Vie for NMI’s 2009 New Media Web Awards
The New Media Institute’s (NMI) 2009 New Media Web Awards has received an incredible array of web site entries spanning demographics, business, product, purpose, and altruistic perspectives, as well as a dizzying range of site expenditures. Among the nominees are XXX, which assists the homeless with access and use of computers and the internet, and eHow, a how-to site. Barbara Eber-Schmid, Executive Vice President of the New Media Institute (www.newmedia.org) expressed delight with the entries stating, “The ingenuity, creativity, and successful communications of the web entries so far have been of the highest caliber, and our judges will be amazed”.
The 2009 New Media Web Award (www.newmedia.org/awards) opened for entries in early April. Entries can be submitted for nomination until the deadline June 14, 2009 at 5:00 P.N. DST.
