PLANTECO Organize’s First Annual United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Hope VI Green Building and Energy Efficient Development Conference

PLANTECO Environmental Consultants, LLC, Athens, GA an 8(A) SDB Hubzone, Innovative Remediation and Engineered Technology Firm has been awarded the contract to organize the First Annual United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Hope VI Green Building and Energy Efficient Development Conference to be held at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC, June 25 & 26, 2009.

Presented by: The Office of Urban Revitalization/Hope VI, The Office of Public Housing Investment, The Office of Public and Indian Housing and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The training conference/workshop will cover such topics as: Green Technologies & the Cost of Green; Building Green: Research, Planning & Design; Energy Audits; Green Construction Practices & Green Materials; Green Funding and Finance; Green Jobs; and Green Certifications.

PLANTECO Environmental Consultants, LLC was also selected to write the HUD’s Hope VI Green Building and Energy Efficient Development Guidebook which will be used as one of the first training tools to support Hope VI Grantees, Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and Hope VI development partners. Through this and the many other projects PLANTECO is performing, we are applying our sustainable and green technologies to reduce the carbon foot print of government agencies, industry and individuals.
