Air Products and Technip Extend Global Alliance
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. –Air Products (NYSE: APD) and Technip today announced a long-term extension reaching beyond the year 2020 for the global business alliance that has already designed, constructed and is operating 30 hydrogen and synthesis gas production plants worldwide. The alliance extension ensures the continued delivery of industrial gas plants providing a reliable and safe supply of hydrogen and synthesis gas to an ever-growing number of customers in the fields of refining, chemicals and petrochemicals, as well as continuous product development to improve efficiencies and cost effective solutions for the industry.

Both companies bring a long history of hydrogen experience to the alliance. Technip provides licensing for its proprietary technologies, design and engineering services for steam methane reformers while Air Products provides the gas separation technology. Air Products, through its extensive operating network, and Technip, from its large reference base, also bring effective operational and engineering knowledge to “design-in” high reliability and efficiency. The plants are operated and maintained by Air Products under long-term agreements with customers.
