Back To The Future With Defining Designs

As looking back becomes the new looking forward for trends in 2009, Hillarys latest romans collection includes many designs that give a nod to eras gone by, but with a contemporary twist.

From an updated chintz that evokes a 50’s feel to 70’s inspired geometric shapes, prints with a 60’s tropical botanical look and the metallic shimmer of the 80’s, the collection features 140 fabrics across a wide range of textures, prints and styles.
“Taking inspiration from the past and giving it a modern edge is a common theme in fashion,” says Sarah Quilliam, head of product design at Hillarys, “and one we’re embracing in our new romans collection.

“We’re finding that customers are becoming bolder and more confident about choosing prints and more vibrant colours and this is reflected in the range, although it does include a more traditional choice of plains and neutrals too.”
