Intrinsyc Licenses Soleus Transit to Supa Technology

New Soleus Transit – Navigation Edition on display in Supa exhibit at 2009 CES

Vancouver, BC – Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS), a leading provider of software solutions for mobile and embedded devices, today announced a license and services agreement with Supa Technology Co., Ltd for the Soleus® Transit – Navigation Edition. This newest release based on the Soleus software platform will be on display in the Supa booth at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) January 8 – 11 in booth # 4633 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Supa is developing a personal navigation device (PND) that connects to the Internet via GSM cellular networks. Soleus Transit, Navigation Edition will provide the data connectivity and user interface framework, plus Intrinsyc’s Destinator® navigation software that delivers turn-by-turn navigation with millions of points of interest (POIs).

Licensing the Soleus Transit software platform enables Supa to develop a superior product quickly and at a lower cost. The Soleus Transit Adaptation Kit (AK) includes the components required to create a customized PND, including OS and system services, core applications, and Microsoft® Platform Builder integration.

Soleus Transit enabled Supa to select the connectivity options requested most by their customers including cellular, WiFi or Bluetooth and deliver a powerful, easy to use solution.

Soleus Transit enables navigation software developers and device makers to rapidly incorporate connectivity solutions into their designs such as access to dynamic content and services, advertising, local search, dialing a POI, roadside assistance or emergency dialing. Supa Technology has licensed Intrinsyc’s Soleus Transit, Navigation Edition which comes pre-integrated with the Destinator navigation software. Destinator boasts industry-leading reliability and driving guidance. The simple, safe, and highly customizable Soleus Transit UI provides Supa the ability to deliver a branded experience featuring local search, dynamic content and a number of viewing options, including 2D/3D and day or night mode. The combination of Soleus Transit connectivity with Destinator’s powerful POI search delivers Supa rapid access to a growing selection of live content available from multiple sources.
