JW Marriott Hotel Medan Welcomes Guests on Sumatra


Now open, 287-room hotel marks Marriott’s first branded property on Sumatra Island in Indonesia.

Bethesda, MD .- JW Marriott Hotel Medan opened its doors this week on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, making it Marriott International, Inc.’s (NYSE: MAR) first branded property on the island and its fourth in the country. The hotel operates under a management agreement with Kurnia Tetap Mulia with Joe Masi as General Manager and Nenden Rukasah as Director of Marketing.

Marking the occasion, the hotel is offering an introductory promotion rate of US$89 ++ for double occupancy from now through March 31, 2009, excluding January 23 – February 1, 2009, for the Chinese New Year celebration. The package includes breakfast buffet at the Marriott Café. For families, the package allows up to two children to stay free.
