Teradata Global Support Center Earns World-Class Performance Certification
Data warehouse customers can be certain of world-class technology support
MIAMISBURG, Ohio — Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, today announced that its Teradata Customer Service Global Support Center has been recognized for its world-class performance by the Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Certification program, an independent rating organization.
“New vendors entering the data warehouse market aren’t able to compete when it comes to providing robust customer service. Teradata is proud that, after a rigorous assessment by an independent third party, the Teradata Global Support Center was recognized for its excellence,” said Dan Harrington, executive vice president, Technology and Support Services, Teradata Corporation. “The real beneficiaries of Teradata’s Global Support Center performance are our customers — who can be certain that the level of support they receive from Teradata is world-class.”
The performance and management of the Teradata Customer Service Global Support Center was audited, which included 100 business elements that define world-class technology support performance. The SCP Support Standard requirements are stringent and Teradata achieved certification with an audit score that significantly exceeded the certification requirements. This is the fifth consecutive year of certification for Teradata with scores that exceeded the index in a number of areas, including: knowledge management process, productivity tools planning, real-time support and case resolution process.
SCP Certification is part of a suite of service capability and performance standards designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of technology service operations. A consortium of leading technology companies, along with the Association for Services Management International and Service Strategies Corporation, created the internationally recognized standards. The standards define best practices for delivering world-class technology service and support, quantify performance levels and establish a foundation to build quality processes. Certification requires comprehensive audits and annual recertification to confirm that companies continue to meet the requirements of the program.
