TietoEnator and Sweden’s county administrative boards have entered into an agreement on the introduction of a number of new e-services in the areas of e-Driving Licence, e-Guards, e-Foundations and e-Commercial Transport. The project will start during 2006 and introduction will take place gradually during the year. The work is estimated to be concluded during the fourth quarter.

Via around 20 different e-services the 21 county administrative boards will offer citizens and companies the opportunity to fill in, sign and send in applications completely electronically, as well as send in various certificates, documents and information.

The solutions for the various task processes are based on TietoEnator’s InfraService, which are combined and merged into advanced e-services. For citizens and companies the process of sending in applications and information will be simplified significantly, since the solution is based on intelligent electronic forms and the use of e-ID for signatures. For county administrative boards the solution provides a faster and more secure means of collecting information and the opportunity to further streamline processes through automated administration of the documents received.

“This is a major step towards our vision of being a so-called 24-hour authority, that is an authority that is accessible whenever citizens require it,” says Bo Hansson, Deputy County Governor at the Stockholm County Administrative Board.

“The agreement means that we have further broadened our customer base within the public authority sector in the area of InfraService to also encompass all the county administrative boards. We are pleased that we have been entrusted with this task and that the county administrative boards have chosen TietoEnator as their partner in this key area of their business,” says Jouko Kangas, Vice-President of TietoEnator Government Services.
