Camp Hill, PA . - Rite Aid is helping customers save in many ways in this tough economy, starting with its Holiday Gift of Savings program where now through December 24 shoppers can receive free $5 to $20 gift cards with purchases of $25 and more. Other ways to save include the free Rite Aid RX Savings Card with significant savings on prescriptions and other products, the Living More senior loyalty program with discounts for those aged 55 and up and everyday savings with Rite Aid brand products which cost up to 40% less than national brands.

These are all in addition to “Red Hot Special Buys” in Rite Aid’s weekly circulars and Rite Aid’s Single Check Rebate program where the company makes it easy to receive manufacturers’ rebates just by submitting receipts.

Gift of Savings

Just in time for holiday shopping, Rite Aid’s Gift of Savings program lets customers earn $5, $10 or $20 certificates based on total purchases from $25 to more than $100. To receive their gift certificate, customers can pick up a brochure with mail-in form at any Rite Aid or go to www.riteaid.com and submit the information from qualifying receipts dated Nov. 16-Dec. 24. All submissions must be received by Jan. 26, 2009. (See in-store brochures or online information for program rules and purchases that are excluded such as alcohol, tobacco and gift cards.)

Free RX Savings Card

Rite Aid recently expanded the list of generic medications to more than 500 available at significant savings through its free RX Savings Card. The card, which requires no membership fee and is free to anyone who enrolls, offers significant savings on more than 10,000 prescription drugs at Rite Aid stores nationwide. The card is effective as soon as the application is completed and turned into a Rite Aid pharmacy. Benefits include access to more than 500 generic medications at $8.99 for a 30-day supply or $15.99 for a 90-day supply for each prescription, a 20% discount on all other generic medications and brand drug prescriptions, 10% immediate savings on more than 3,200 Rite Aid brand products and discounts on generic oral contraceptives and immunizations by Rite Aid pharmacists. The card is especially beneficial to patients who have no or limited prescription insurance as well as those who have reached their benefit limits, although anyone can enroll.

Living More Senior Loyalty Program

More than 4 million seniors have enrolled in Living More for those ages 55 and older. Benefits include a 20% discount on purchases the first Tuesday of every month and 10% discount on the other Tuesdays of the month, a 10% discount on cash prescriptions every day (cash prescription discount not offered in California due to the state mandated discount program for senior patients), a 10% discount on the more than 3,200 Rite Aid brand products every day and exclusive specials throughout the store. Seniors can sign up at any Rite Aid pharmacy counter or by visiting www.riteaid.com.

Single Check Rebate Program

With Rite Aid’s Single Check Rebate program, customers can save hundreds of dollars every month just by submitting qualifying receipts. Manufacturers’ rebate specials are listed in the Single Check Rebate Directory in stores or online at www.riteaid.com every month, and customers can even create a printable shopping list. After shopping, it’s simple to go online, answer a few easy questions and enter receipt information. Rebate checks can arrive in as little as two weeks.

Weekly Circulars

Rite Aid’s weekly circulars, available online and in stores, are filled with products tagged with labels like “Red Hot Specials,” “Buy One, Get Second One Free,” and “Hot Buys.”

Rite Aid Brand Products

Rite Aid brand products are located directly to the right of the national brand, and packaging generally features a flag showing the national brand to which the product compares. A comparison of active ingredients shows they are identical on most products. Customers can save up to 40% everyday on a single product when they purchase any of Rite Aid’s more than 3,200 private brand products.

GNC Gold Card

With GNC “Live Well” stores in more than 1,700 Rite Aid stores, it’s easy to save on GNC’s extensive line of nutritional and wellness products just by becoming an annual Gold Card member. Members receive 20% off GNC products during the first 7 days of every month. Through Dec. 31, 2008, visit www.riteaid.com/stores/gnc/ for a coupon worth $5 off Gold Card membership of $15, and check Rite Aid weekly circulars for occasional offers for a free Gold Card with specific purchases.

All Rite Aid stores will be open at least until 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and 24-hour stores will keep their regular hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Many stores will offer extended holiday hours throughout the season. To locate the store closest to you, visit www.riteaid.com/stores/locator/.
