Polysciences, Inc. Announces Formalin Free Fixation Technique for Molecular Pathology and Research

WEBWIRE

Warrington, PA, Nov, 2008 - Polysciences, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of the HOPEŽ Fixative Starter Kit. A new convenient kit that contains all the components necessary to provide improved morphology of cells and tissue in paraffin embedded blocks. One easy-to-use kit that helps you save time, without breaking the bank! The HOPEŽ Fixative Starter Kit contains: 10 transportation vials filled with 5 ml HOPEŽ I with protection vials, 1 x 1 ml HOPEŽ II and 200 grams of low melting point paraffin. The HOPEŽ fixation technique does not completely denature or cross-link structural proteins, enzymes and nucleic acids in contrast to other fixation methods. HOPEŽ fixation technique also saves valuable time by eliminating the need to perform antigen unmasking before immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization targeting RNA and DNA, PCR and RT-PCR with properly prepared paraffin embedded tissue sections. Specimens fixed with the HOPEŽ technique allow greater morphology and retrospective studies on the molecular level. HOPEŽ is a registered trademark of DCS, Innovative Diagnostik Systeme, Germany. HOPEŽ is manufactured by DCS, Germany.
