Motorola’s Unrivaled Service from the Start Now Extended to Accessories
More Complete Protection for Mobile Computers Covers both New and Current Customers at No Additional Cost
HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. – The Enterprise Mobility business from Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that its award-winning service agreement for mobile computers, Service from the Start with Comprehensive Coverage, is being expanded to also cover accessories. The protection against accidental damage to mobile computers now automatically includes the hand straps, battery doors, styluses and screen protectors normally sold with these products.
From the first day of the hardware purchase, customers can be assured that no matter what is damaged — from broken displays to keypads — the repair is covered. The coverage of external components renews Motorola’s commitment to its customers, helping to eliminate repair expenses, reducing total cost of ownership and providing greater peace of mind.
“Motorola continues to set a new benchmark with its latest version of Service from the Start with Comprehensive Coverage for mobile computers,” said Paul Stubbs, general manager (National Accounts), AirData Pty Ltd, Australia. “With no hidden costs and enhanced coverage, this industry-leading vendor differentiator helps to deliver true peace of mind to all of my customers.”
The enhanced Service from the Start with Comprehensive Coverage is available worldwide for the MC17, MC1000, MC3000 and MC9000 series of mobile computers; MC35, MC50, MC70 and MC75 Enterprise Digital Assistants (EDAs).
“Motorola redefined customer service when it first introduced Service from the Start, providing coverage that was unprecedented in the industry,” said Tom Collins, vice president of worldwide operations, Motorola Enterprise Mobility business. “By expanding our coverage, customers now have an easy method to control their repair costs, a critical advantage in today’s economic climate.”
The enhanced Service from the Start with Comprehensive Coverage is available for purchase today through Motorola sales and Motorola PartnerSelect members. It also applies to all existing comprehensive coverage agreements for current customers under contract.
