BT Vision aims to score against rivals with free Setanta sports

Premium sports channel now free with BT Vision packages from £14 per month

BT Vision is turning up the heat on its rivals this summer by giving away premium sports channel Setanta Sports 1 subscription free with its new Bronze, Silver and Gold viewing packages which start from only £14 per month.

As well as Freeview, a PVR and BT Vision’s TV and TV Replay packs, which provide great UK and US on-demand TV programming and enable viewers to replay a selection of programmes that have been aired recently, BT Vision offers four viewing packs: Picture Box, for film fans; Kids, with shows like Balamory, Bob the Builder, Powerpuff Girls and many others; Standard Sports, with 242 Barclays Premier League games per season, classic archive matches, documentaries and much more; and Music with great music videos.

For just £14 per month customers can choose BT Vision’s Bronze Package which will comprise two viewing packs; the Silver Package comprising three viewing packs for £18, or the Gold Package, comprising all the viewing packs for £20 – and all these packages already include the TV and TV Replay packs. Or if they want, customers can choose to buy the Picture Box, Kids, Music or Standard Sports viewing packs individually.

But the good news is that if they sign up to the Bronze, Silver or Gold packages they get Setanta Sports 1, the UK’s top-quality sports channel, completely free of charge.* This means that they can watch Setanta Sports 1’s 46 live Barclays Premier League football games, 60 live Clydesdale Bank Premier League games, live action from every round of the FA Cup, crucial home nations World Cup qualifiers, live US PGA Tour Golf, live World Championship boxing and a host of other top-flight sport at no extra cost.

And if they choose Standard Sports pack within their Bronze, Silver or Gold packages, combined with free Setanta Sports 1, football fans will get 242 ‘near-live’ Barclays Premier League matches giving them access to 75 per cent of the season’s 380 games – and over 100 matches from the Football League and Carling Cup, all for as little as £14 a month with the Bronze package.
Fans of Scottish football get an additional bonus after BT Vision today announced an exclusive deal with the Scottish Premier League to show 28 on-demand SPL games in addition to the 60 live games available on Setanta Sports 1. Combined with Setanta Sports 1, this new deal means BT Vision will offer more matchday SPL games than any other TV service.
