Motorola’s PowerBroadband system enables seamless delivery of high-speed Internet, HDTV, and other enhanced connectivity services to hotel guests

PLEASANTON, CA – June 2008 Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced that LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET), the leading provider of media and connectivity solutions to the hospitality market, has signed an agreement to deploy Motorola’s mT2a PowerBroadband system in hotels, resorts, and healthcare facilities. The innovative mT2a product line was selected to provide LodgeNet with a high-performance platform for today’s leading IP-based applications while providing flexibility to expand new high-value broadband services.

"Our hospitality customers commonly request flexible options with respect to Internet connectivity ,” stated Steve Berrey, vice president of IP technology for LodgeNet. “The Motorola mT2a platform, coupled with our unparalleled employee-based nationwide customer service organization, creates a flexible and scalable solution for hoteliers and their guests. The system gives us expanded bandwidth capacity for emerging high bandwidth services while the innovative wallplate design reduces customer problems and the need for on-site support.”

“Our mT2a system has been endorsed by large hotel groups and deployed by service providers across the United States and Europe,” said Greg Ioffe, general manager of Motorola’s Private Broadband Networks business, “and we are glad to be working closely with LodgeNet as the worldwide leader in providing high-value broadband services to the hospitality industry. We also look forward to supporting LodgeNet deployments across resort and healthcare facilities.”

An innovative feature of the mT2a PowerBroadband system is the m2 Wallplate which directly snaps on over existing telephone wallplates found in hotel guest rooms. No additional wiring or rewiring is required. All power and broadband modules are contained within the small Wallplate, eliminating the requirement for separate broadband modems and power supplies. Hotels especially like the reduced clutter and clean appearance of the “no box” solution and the sharp reduction of customer service complaints.
