Buick Open Tiger Woods Golf Clinic To Take Place At Comerica Park

DETROIT- The Buick Open, Michigan’s only PGA Tour event, will host a unique golf clinic featuring Tiger Woods at Comerica Park on Tuesday, June 24. The clinic, scheduled from 3-4 p.m., marks the first time that Woods will conduct a golf clinic in a ballpark. The event is part of the week long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Buick Open.

There will be a limited number of seats available for the Buick Open Tiger Woods Clinic at Comerica Park. To experience this special event golf fans can purchase one of two Buick Open ticket packages. The $50 package consists of a credential to the Tiger Wood clinic and a one day ticket to the Buick Open. The $150 package features a clinic credential and a week-long grounds badge to the Buick Open. The Tiger Woods clinic is one of several events to be held during Buick Open week, June 23-29. The tournament will be held at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc.

Woods, the world’s number one ranked golfer, will put on a clinic that will entertain golf fans. In addition, he will answer questions from audience members. Later in the week, he intends to compete in his ninth Buick Open. He won the tournament in 2002 and 2006.

Comerica Park has been the home of the Detroit Tigers since 2000. Following the golf clinic, the Tigers will play host to the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. in the opener of a three-game series. Gates for the Tigers-Cardinals game will open at 5 p.m.

Buick has been the official car of the PGA Tour since 1984 and is currently the title-sponsor of two PGA Tour events. In addition to the Buick Open, Buick sponsors the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif. Buick has a sponsorship agreement with Woods, the world’s number one golfer, and is also the official car of the PGA of America.
