Synchronica Wins Additional Award

WEBWIRE

Hannover, Royal Tunbridge Wells, March 10, 2008. - Synchronica plc, international provider of mobile email and synchronization solutions, has once again won the Silver European Seal of E-Excellence Award. The jury, consisting of senior executives from European multimedia associations, honored Synchronica for its successful communication strategy to make mobile email attractive to the mass market. The award was presented at the CeBIT fair in Hannover, Germany.

The European Multimedia Award Seal of E-Excellence given by the European Multimedia Forum (EMF), rewards ebusiness companies that have an excellent track record in applications, technologies, and services, as well as using innovative marketing.

This year, the jury honored Synchronica’s Mobile Gateway and Mobile Backup that are based on the dominant open industry standards Push IMAP (LEMONADE) and OMA DS (SyncML). By developing products that support these open standards, Synchronica enables mobile email, contact and calendar synchronization, and backup and restore services on the widest range of mobile devices in use worldwide. This allows the company to make mobile email services more accessible and attractive to the mass market.

“Using our products, all mobile phone users can receive push email and backup and restore their contacts, not just those with expensive devices”, says Nicole Meissner, Synchronica’s CMO. “We are particularly interested to enable mobile email for consumers in emerging markets such as India, Africa, and the Middle East, where limited copper infrastructure means that many people have to travel to internet cafes to send and receive emails. In these countries, mass market mobile email is the way forward.”
