Prices Reduced for Twice-Monthly Sales Will Benefit Chess Players


In response to customer requests, Wholesale Chess has added a new monthly text-only promotion to its marketing approach to the nation’s chess players, as well as to those abroad.

“In slowing economic times many of our customers want more chess related items to go on sale,” said Lyndia Graham, manager of Wholesale Chess. “We have traditionally sent out one email promotion per month using fun graphics and a new home page banner design. Almost always the promotion is for either a discount on the entire purchase or free shipping within the US-- which customers love--and about 12 new sale items.”

“We will continue that because it is very successful,” she said. “But starting in March we are going to also send a text-only ad out with several of our new products featured and another ten or twelve additional sale-priced items.”

“Even though we have over 1200 chess products, in the course of a month any customer can find something sale priced that they want in almost every chess category,” she added. “This is especially helpful to schools and clubs who buy in large quantities but are on often on very tight budgets.”

“International customers will also benefit greatly from the savings because they cannot typically take advantage of free shipping,” she added.
