Denmark’s Sydfyns Intranet A/S selects Alcatel-Lucent’s triple play service delivery architecture for FTTH

End-to-end solution based on a point-to-point fiber access architecture

Paris, February 2008 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that it has been selected by Sydfyns Intranet A/S, a Danish FTTH service provider and a subsidiary of power utility Sydfyns Elforsyning, to deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end triple play solution for the delivery of advanced triple play and business services - such as multiple IPTV, video on demand (VoD) and managed firewall applications. Sydfyns Intranet A/S will build on Alcatel-Lucent’s Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM) platform to deploy a point-to-point Ethernet architecture.

Alcatel-Lucent will deploy its triple play service delivery architecture (TPSDA) based on the 7302 ISAM, the 7450 Ethernet Service Switch (ESS) and the 7750 service router (SR). Alcatel-Lucent’s solution is complemented by a wide range of installation, operation and maintenance services for the delivery of a fully tested, integrated, high-performance FTTH network.
