Mobile Motion Game IGF Finalist

WEBWIRE

February 15, 2008 - Concrete Software®, Inc., a leader in innovative mobile content, has a 3D motion enabled game as a finalist for the Independent Games Festival Awards. The awards are part of the IGF which was established in 1998 to encourage innovation in game development. The actual awards will be announced during the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 19.

3D Lawn Darts is the first motion enabled mobile game to be based off a single picture. This unique approach allows the game to run on just about any mobile device that has a camera. “The throw motion you use just fits so well with the actual game of lawn darts; it really is fun to use,” remarked Andrew Fischer, who architected the game along with his brother Alan, “especially when using Bluetooth multiplayer, it gets people’s attention.”

More information on the finalists for the IGF awards can be seen at http://www.igfmobile.com/02finalists.html.
