LifeModeler, Inc. Names Chris Hussey to V.P. Sales Postiion

Experienced relationship sales executive bolsters biomechanics software company’s expansion directions.


SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (Feb. 11, 2008)---LifeModeler, Inc., the industry-leading solutions provider to educational, research, and commercial entities interested in the physics behind biological motion, has announced the hiring of Chris Hussey as Vice President of Sales.
Shawn McGuan, Founder/CEO, said “the addition of Chris to our executive team will provide LifeModeler with an aggressive new approach to this fast-growing segment. He brings with him over 25 years of relationship sales experience, and his industry knowledge and historical ability to expand a marketplace will fit well with our current corporate posture.”
Among LifeModeler’s offerings is its flagship product, LifeMOD™, a modularized and highly customizable human simulation software program for general biomechanics modeling and specialized applications. LifeMOD is used by many leading companies in the development of orthopedic joint replacements, as well as by companies in aerospace and those with a focus on sports equipment development.
LifeMOD is also the preeminent university teaching tool in biomechanics courses in the United States and overseas.
Hussey most recently served as a sales executive at LMS International, a Belgium-based provider of technical solutions for product development. Based in the U.S., he had overall responsibility for one of its largest accounts, and was recognized for his achievements with numerous sales performance awards, both for his domestic and global accomplishments. In 2006, his personal efforts generated annual sales in excess of 200 percent of quota.
Prior to LMS, Hussey was a sales executive at MSC Software/Mechanical Dynamics, where he initiated the sales of computer aided engineering (CAE) software and consulting services, concentrating on the sales of ADAMS, the multi-body dynamics code.
Hussey also is experienced in the automotive manufacturing arena, insurance industry, and business management software.
McGuan said LifeModeler is now better positioned to address the company’s expansion activities, and will be undertaking the addition of other staff that will ultimately increase the company’s strengths in both development and outreach activities.
