Goodyear’s FleetHQ Network Gives Dealers National Presence
Even when a fleet’s trucks leave home, U.S. and Canadian independent commercial tire dealers can provide national coverage as part of Goodyear’s new FleetHQ network.
“Dealers gain national coverage through FleetHQ, while the network gains local coverage from each dealer location,” said Steve McClellan, vice president of commercial tire systems. “It’s a two-way street that benefits dealers and their fleet customers.”
In FleetHQ, dealers have the fleet relationship, independently negotiate national pricing and consolidate billing from servicing centers, McClellan said. Participating commercial dealers can grow by providing comprehensive business solutions for new customers as well as providing products and services to FleetHQ fleets that need assistance in their service area.
“Dealers have worked hard to build their reputations and brand. They further strengthen their business by providing FleetHQ’s national exposure. FleetHQ positions them to serve their customers when and where they’re most needed,” he said.
The FleetHQ custom tire program is honored by participating commercial dealers with centralized billing administered through the home dealer.
* A national network of participating dealers to service truck fleets locally and when trucks and owner-operators need assistance.
* Tire purchase and retread tracking and web-based call reporting for emergency road service. It also helps customers manage inventories and track work orders to support better business decisions.
* A 24-hour FleetHQ Solutions Center, available to connect truck drivers to local servicing dealers, whenever and wherever help is needed.
* The infrastructure that makes all this happen has been available to the largest fleets from Goodyear. FleetHQ makes these services available to fleets of all sizes through independent tire dealers.
McClellan said: “Our service network is our value proposition. Our goal is to lead the industry in service consistency by optimizing our nationwide network – and even expanding it where necessary. It’s that simple, and it’s the way we plan to grow our business.”
FleetHQ takes the traditional “cradle-to-grave” service a step further. "It’s what fleet customers are demanding. As fleets have consolidated and the complexity of their businesses grows, they require the services of their local dealers on a national scale.
“In fact, even smaller fleets need the services and information once reserved for the largest fleets. FleetHQ gives every commercial dealer the tools needed to better serve their customers,” McClellan said.
