Fundays Motorhome Hire Unveils New Website

The Norfolk based, family run motorhome hire company, Fundays Hire, are proud to announce the launch of their new comprehensive website www.Fundays-hire.co.uk, which has been developed after winning a competition on the local radio station KLFM. Visitors to the website can view full details of motorhomes available for hire, check availability and reserve one of several luxury motorhomes via their improved online booking engine.

In the words of Peter Lattimore – Founder of Fundays Hire, “I entered the competition on KLFM after hearing it advertised on the way to work. I completed the form and forgot about it. Then, out of the blue, I got a phone call from Alistair Quinn of www.Q-Power.biz who gave the great news. The old web site in comparison was dark and dismal, although it was seen and we did get enquiries from it.”

Winning the competition on the local radio station KLFM has given the owners of Fundays a boost in enthusiasm for the business. There has also been a great deal more interest in the site.

Fundays have also been fortunate enough to receive a grant towards online marketing of the site by Breckland District Council, who are promoting the enterprise of small businesses in the area.

“The BELA (Breckland Enterprise and Learning Allowance) grant came about after following advice from Bill Hamblin of Business Link, who has been a great help with advice about the web site and online marketing. Again I was dubious but applied and was rejected due to not giving them enough information about the business and where we were heading. So I got my head down and produced a detailed business plan showing how we planned to expand by having more vehicles in 2008 and improving the web site. I reapplied for the maximum £500.00 matched grant for a new web design and was delighted when I was accepted”, added Peter.

Fundays Hire are now expanding their fleet to include 6 berth vehicles for 2008, which confirms their decision to start this venture. They are already taking bookings for the new season and have found suitable premises to allow easier access for collection and return.

Fundays Hire was born from an idea formed whilst Peter was working for a large caravan and motorhome dealership where they took an average of 3 phone calls a day from people wanting to hire motorhomes. He checked through Yellow Pages and surfed the Internet but there was no one in Norfolk offering this service so he decided to put this right.

So Fundays was born. Peter Lattimore and his partner, Sarah Hall, discussed the way forward over many months before they took the plunge and bought their first motorhome. They decided that they did not want Fundays to be just another hire company, so they decided to adopt the policy of personally testing the vehicles by touring in each motorhome with their children before they rent them out. This means they have first hand experience of the requirements a family new to motor caravanning could have and enables them to adequately equip the motorhome.
