EDS Agility Alliance’s synnovation Named Best in Show at Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership Awards
EDS Wins Total of Four Awards; Given Top Honors in Procurement, Information Technology and Human Resources Categories of Outsourcing Institute Awards
Plano, TX – EDS today announced that the New York-based Outsourcing Institute recently recognized three articles that appeared in synnovation, the Journal of the EDS Agility Alliance, with a total of four awards for Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership (BOTL). The winning articles are: “Rethinking the Path to Innovation” by Dan Scheinman, which won Best in Show and in the human resources category, “In Search of the Holy Grail” by Mark Mayo, and “Beyond Google: Searching the Library of the Future” by Cindy Hill.
BOTL award submissions were accepted in August through the Outsourcing Institute’s Premium Portal, a new and powerful technology platform that enables users to post thought leadership essays and related intellectual property to the most trafficked outsourcing industry website worldwide.
Eight judges, led by head judge Brenna Garratt, president of The Delve Group, a strategic marketing, branding and communications company with a specialty in outsourcing, carefully read through and evaluated submissions based on the level of innovation, influence, and relevance of the topic as well as the style and clarity with which the information was presented. EDS won top honors with the Best in Show award, as well as in the Procurement, Information Technology, and Human Resources categories, winning exceptionally high marks for relevance and influence.
“EDS almost swept the awards with by far the greatest number of articles in the finals,” says Ms. Garratt. “When it came down to our decision-making, these articles stood out not only as strong outsourcing thought leadership but as lucid ways to drive business performance for audiences inside or outside of the outsourcing world.”
The best in show winner was announced on December 11 at the Outsourcing Institute’s Mixer in New York City.
“The EDS Agility Alliance’s thought leadership publication, synnovation, strives to capture and present original intellectual capital, collaborative insights and fresh perspectives on the trends and issues that affect businesses,” said Charlie Feld, editor-in-chief of synnovation. “Being recognized by the Outsourcing Institute with four awards, including the prestigious Best in Show, is an honor and sets the bar even higher for our publication for 2008.”
synnovation also recently received a Gold Pearl Award for Best Overall Editorial for publications with a circulation of less than 50,000. The Pearl Awards recognize the marriage of journalism and commerce, celebrating reader-driven content that conveys a sponsor’s message. Pearl Awards are given by the Custom Publishing Council (CPC), the leading professional organization representing custom publishers in North America, which honors custom publishers for excellence in design, editorial, and strategic initiatives.
