Teledyne Brown Appoints Barringer Vice President Of Collaborx

Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. (TBE) today announced Garry Barringer has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Brown CollaborX Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of TBE.

CollaborX provides government engineering services primarily to the U.S. Air Force and select joint military commands, such as the Missile Defense Agency and the United States Strategic Command.

Barringer has served as vice president and COO of CollaborX since 2002. He replaces John Hawley, a former MG in the U.S. Air Force, who recently retired.

In his new role, Barringer will be responsible for all operations, development and execution of operational plans, new business initiatives and the day-to-day operations of Teledyne Brown CollaborX located in Colorado Springs, Col.

“Garry has key experience in Air Force operations that will be critical as we expand our business base with that customer,” said Rex D. Geveden, president, Teledyne Brown. “He is extremely knowledgeable about the company and qualified to lead our future growth.”

Before joining CollaborX, Barringer served as Technical Director of the Air Force Command and Control and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (AFC2ISR Center) as a member of the Air Force Senior Executive Service (SES). He was responsible to the Center Commander for technical planning and transition of technology to improve operational war fighter capability throughout the Air Force. Prior to his transfer to the AFC2ISR Center, Barringer was at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Rome New York as Director of Plans and Programs. His 30 year service in the U.S. Air Force started as an engineer/physicist in the Directorate of Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Surveillance at AFRL where he became the Director prior to selection to the Senior Executive Service.
