Magazine Recognizes Retail Companies for Fusing Technology with Business Strategy to Achieve Operational Excellence
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. 31-OCT-2005 Oracle today announced that its retail customers received 2005 Fusion Awards from RIS News Magazine. 1-800-FLOWERS.COM(r), Best Buy, Georgio Armani, RadioShack and Stage Stores were recognized for innovative technology programs that have delivered impressive, successful results.
Giorgio Armani received the Fusion Award in the Customer Experience category for its use of technology to communicate with its customers in a more personal and effective manner, extending customers’ loyalty and increasing return visits. Oracle Retail Point-of-Sale, Oracle Merchandising and Oracle Supply Chain solutions help link store associates to information about each customer, improve in-stocks, and reduce time in the supply chain for each product.
Department store retailer Stage Stores was honored for a technology trnansformation that contributed to record sales for the first quarter of 2005. By integrating Oracle Retail Warehouse Management, Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Merchandising solutions, the retailer created supply chain visibility across a logistics network extending from suppliers to carriers across 522 stores. The new visibility helped the company better serve its customers by matching inventory to demand.
In addition, RIS News recognized Best Buy for a customer-centric strategy that merges merchandising, optimization and technology solutions; 1-800-FLOWERS.COM(r) for its innovative CRM initiatives; and RadioShack for using technology to create best store operations practices across more than 5,000 locations.
