CATLab™ Moves its North Carolina Test Equipment Calibration Laboratory to New, Larger Facility
October 24, 2007
CATLab has moved its North Carolina Lab to a new, larger facility within the Bowman Gray Technical Center in Winston-Salem. This new lab offers expanded lab area, additional facility resources and greater convenience for those regional customers served by the North Carolina lab.
CATLab™ is the test equipment calibration division of Control Automation Technologies (CATC). It provides accredited calibration and repair services of most test equipment used by instrument, electrical and quality control technicians. Both its North Carolina and Virginia labs are accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
“This new facility allows us to work more efficiently and provides the resources necessary to expand our services and accredited scope consistent with our growth plans,” said Michael Watson, CATC founder and President. CATC had been at its former location since 1994. Last year, it opened a new lab in central Virginia, at the Roxbury Industrial Park and continues to expand geographically and in scope.
In 1989, CATC first provided field technician services including instrument installation, calibration and maintenance throughout North America and portions of Asia and Africa; then started its laboratory division in 1999. Earlier this year CATC spun off its field maintenance division and set its focus on expanding the laboratory business. Today, CATLab provides fast and reliable calibration of precision test equipment for nearly 250 manufacturers and industrial service companies throughout the eastern United States.
