O3Spaces Workplace Community Edition 2.2b released
O3Spaces is pleased to announce the immediate availability of O3Spaces Workplace Community Edition 2.2b
The release of the Workplace 2.2b as a community edition is our answer to the demand from both OpenOffice.org users, as well as the enterprise market for a publicly available full featured product edition.
O3Spaces Workplace 2.2b community edition incorporates a number of exciting key features.
The Community Edition is a free to use, fully featured Workplace solution for up to 10 team members. Furthermore, the Community Edition 2.2 can be seamlessly migrated with a Workplace Professional subscription. The O3Spaces Workplace 2.2b Community Edition is available as a number of new easy installers for various Linux and Windows Operating systems. It will also be available as a virtual appliance.
One of the striking new features, that was developed based on OpenOffice.org/StarOffice enterprise customer requests, is the new template-management module. This functionality addresses one of the few remaining OOo/SO enterprise blind spots. The module covers template storage, versioning, as well as, controlled distribution of templates to the end user in one integrated system. The template management module will be made available in the Community Edition 2.2-final
