Microsoft Recognizes Vendors for Outstanding Performance in 2007
Microsoft Corp. today announced the winners of the 2007 Microsoft® Vendor Program (MSVP) Excellence Awards. This year’s six winners — Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc., MV Transportation Inc., LCJ EEIG, HP, Infineon Technologies AG and Kelly Services Inc. — were chosen from among the more than 15,000 vendors that Microsoft works with in the United States.
The MSVP Excellence Awards are handed out annually to vendors that consistently provide outstanding service and results to Microsoft. A panel of Microsoft executives selected this year’s winners, which were nominated by Microsoft employees based on criteria such as value, quality, flexibility, innovation, security and privacy. The winners received their awards today at the sixth annual MSVP Annual Vendor Summit, held on Microsoft’s corporate campus in Redmond.

2007 MSVP Excellence Award Winners
Microsoft named winners today in six categories: Vendor of the Year, Quality, Service, Technology, Value and Diversity.
Vendor of the Year Award: Grubb & Ellis Management Services. Grubb & Ellis Management Services, the property management subsidiary of one of the world’s leading full-service commercial real estate companies, provides integrated facilities management for Microsoft’s Redmond campus and several other U.S. and international locations. Grubb & Ellis has a well-deserved reputation for delivering integrated property, facility and asset management, construction/project management, engineering and energy services, emergency preparedness planning, product/agency leasing, lease administration, and business and fulfillment services.
Quality Award: MV Transportation. MV Transportation assumed operation of the Microsoft Campus Shuttle in July 2005 and transformed it into a premier, fully automated service. Taking advantage of Microsoft technologies, MV developed a data-driven technological solution geared toward customer satisfaction. MV’s system, which includes a unique and interactive dispatch center integrated with Microsoft MapPoint® software, offers Microsoft employees the most progressive campus shuttle service in the country.
Service Award: LCJ EEIG. A leading provider of localization solutions, LCJ recently delivered localized language versions of the 2007 Microsoft Office system and the Windows Vista® operating system. Despite an unplanned increase in scope that drove translation capacity requirements to a peak, LCJ delivered content on time and met high-quality standards. Flexible scheduling and resource management were critical to LCJ’s success, along with the company’s longstanding commitment to customer satisfaction.
Technology Award: HP. HP recently released a multifunction print device that uses the Microsoft Windows® XP Embedded operating system. The new multifunction print device provides better integration with Microsoft products, improved manageability, easier support and a better user experience. HP’s device takes advantage of the Microsoft Windows Embedded family of operating systems.
Value Award: Infineon Technologies. Infineon, a provider of leading-edge semiconductor technologies, supplies Microsoft with memory units and security chips. Infineon has especially influenced the success of Microsoft mouse products and Xbox® accessories. Key developments include an interoperable single-chip wireless protocol that led to significant system-level savings, and a Bluetooth optical sensor that enables the gaming mouse platform with the T2 chip.
Diversity Award: Kelly Services. Staffing solutions provider Kelly Services increased its diversity spending with Minority, Women, Service Disabled Veterans, Business Enterprise (MWSDVBE) vendors to a new record in 2006, and the company has demonstrated an innovative approach and strong commitment to diversity. Kelly Services has also supported Microsoft’s legal services mentor protégé program, an ongoing initiative dedicated to diversity law firms seeking opportunities with Microsoft and other Fortune 500 companies.
