Bethesda, MD.-Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR) continues to monitor Hurricane Dean and is working closely with the authorities in areas where we have hotels that were affected by the storm. As always, the safety and security of our guests and associates is a top priority.

Marriott International’s hotels in Cancun, Mexico are currently open and operational including The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, and the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort.

As of 10:00 a.m., (EDT) Tuesday, August 21, the following hotels remain temporarily closed and will continue to take the appropriate precautions. Preliminary reports indicate that these hotels sustained minimal damage as a result of the storm and they are expected to reopen on Friday, August 24:
