Manifone to Offer Overseas Calls With any Cell Phone at 4 Cents a Minute!

Vannes, France – August 20, 2007 – LGC, a telecommunications services company, www.manifone.com, today announced that after a successful introduction in the European market, it is now launching its Mani Minutes service in the US and Canada. This service will make the 4-Cents-Overseas-Calls available to everyone who has a cell phone.

People have been often told about great ways to save on international calls, most of them requiring the user to completely change his dialing habits and learn and practice some “cool new way of calling”. Manifone believes, that it is not the user who should adapt, but the service provider. Probably because if people want to call someone, they tend to grab their cell phones, select a contact from the phonebook and press dial.

Manifone has now launched its service in the US and Canada, to the pleasure of all those who prefer the standard easy way of calling even when calling international, instead of using some of those tricky cost-saving techniques that people will not be able to remember or access when they actually need it.

Mani Minutes will give its users, free of charge, a set of US-based numbers that they can permanently assign to their international contacts. This way, someone living in New York will be able to reach his friend living in China on a 718 New York number - using the inclusive free minutes of his cell phone plan. For the international part of the call, Manifone will charge a small per minute fee, which to most destinations would be 4-6 cents a minute. Of course Mani Minutes allows placing calls to non-registered destinations as well, at the same rates.

Because Manifone does not want to become a new hobby of its users, it does not require constant interaction once the account is set up. Manifone provides its users all these US-based “Direct Numbers” right after signup, so that the users can set up their phonebooks in a matter of minutes, store the new “Direct Numbers” of their overseas contacts in their cellular phone books, and that’s it.
