Basel, Switzerland and Irvine, California – August 14, 2007, Day Software (SWX: DAYN, OTCQX: DYIHY), a leading provider of global content management and content infrastructure software, today announced that the University of Oklahoma (OU) has selected Day’s enterprise Web Content Management (WCM) system, Communiqué, to facilitate consistent branding and reinforce the University’s online personality for more than 17,000 unique daily visitors.

Created by the Oklahoma Territorial Legislature in 1890, OU, which enrolls almost 30,000 students, is a doctoral degree-granting research university serving the educational, cultural, economic and health care needs of local and national visitors. Prior to adopting Communiqué, the University’s Web site, www.ou.edu, made it difficult to find information due to inefficient navigation and poor search tools. In need of a system enabling consistency, while allowing the school to maintain individuality and diversity, the University chose Communiqué, Day’s standards-based enterprise-level WCM suite. Communiqué allows hundreds of the University’s Web sites content creators, using various legacy software systems and procedures, to create Web pages reflecting its unique academic and student-life attributes.

“The University needed a system that would support all non-technical users within each administrative department, and Day best met our requirements,” said Melanee Hamilton, Director Web Communications of the University of Oklahoma. “Communiqué is incredibly flexible and integrates perfectly with our existing systems. It allows us to maintain our own Web content within a controlled framework, ensuring a consistent look and feel among all of our Web pages for a robust, easily managed online presence.”

OU’s Web site serves external audiences with an emphasis on targeting prospective students and those who influence their decisions. Additional audiences include OU alumni and staff, and extranet access is provided from OU’s main site. Focused on making information easy to find, Communiqué improves navigation and search for all text, images, video and PDFs, for all users, including Web site visitors unfamiliar with OU’s administrative and departmental structure.

Day’s Communiqué 4.0 is revolutionizing the enterprise, offering customers a comprehensive range of fully integrated content solutions that address all of their global content management challenges with one highly scalable, reliable platform. Communiqué’s efficient, reusable component architecture solves multiple customer challenges with a single (end-to-end) integrated solution. The product enables the University of Oklahoma’s Web content authors to create and manage their own sites quickly and efficiently, without having to involve IT.

“It’s imperative for large organizations such as the University of Oklahoma to have a system in place to manage their ever-increasing rich-media content,” said Chris Stark, SVP, Americas, Day. “Communiqué’s flexibility, robust features and standards-based platform enable ease-of-use for all content creators and Web site visitors, and facilitate a cohesive look and feel to support the University’s goal of consistent branding.”
